Hoa Binh (VNA)𝓡 - The People’s Court of the northern province of Hoa Binh sentenced two people for illegally transporting heroin.

Mua A Dua, 35, who comes from Pa Co commune, Mai Chau district of the province, received the death penalty while Giang A Xa, 52, from Son La province was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
According to the indictment, in December 2013, Dua was hired by a man whose identity remains unknown, to transport 26 cakes of heroin from Pa Co commune to My Dinh Station in Hanoi for a charge of 30 million VND (1,330 USD). Dua asked Xa to help him by going ahead to see whether the police were looking to arrest Dua. Dua paid Xa 7 million VND (310 USD).
However, the two were arrested red-handed with 26 cakes of heroin and other items when they were travelling in Cao Phong town, Hoa Binh province.
