According to the Industrial Zone ManagementBoard of the province, those 30 industrial zones produce about 96,000 cubicmetres of wastewater a day. The province has set up 25 automaticwastewater monitoring stations, which connect to a centre at the provincialDepartment of Natural Resources and Environment. Statistics of environmentquality will be sent to the centre, helping monitoring work. Vo Van Chanh, Vice Chairman of theprovince People’s Committee said that six additional monitoring stations willbe set up in six industrial zones, ensuring the constant operation ofwastewater treatment system. The provincial Department of Natural Resourcesand Environment will coordinate with the Industrial Zone Management Board andrelevant agencies to monitor the operation of existing monitoring stations andsupervise the construction of six new ones.-VNA
