Dominican Republic works for stronger ties with Vietnam

President Leonel Fernandez of the Dominican Republic has unveiled steps to promote ties with Vietnam as the outcome of his recent meeting with Construction Minister Nguyen Hong Quan, who is on a visit to the Caribbean country.

Fernandez was quoted by the President Office’s Website on Oct. 28 assaying that the two countries would sign agreements on exchange oftechnology and education soon.

Efforts will be made to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, transport and energy, he added.

He also said the Dominican Republic will send a delegation to Vietnamto promote bilateral relations at the invitation of ConstructionMinister Nguyen Hong Quan.

Quan is leading a delegation of over 30 members, including a number ofbusinesspeople, on a visit to the Caribbean republic from October 27.

Upon his arrival, he met Foreign 𝔍Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso, whohighlighted great potential of cooperation between the two countries,especially in economy, trade, culture and educatio𝓰n./.
