Disaster-hit victims continue to receive aid

A delegation of Ho Chi Minh City’s authorities visited and donated 1.5 billion VND to help disaster-hit victims in the central province of Quang Nam on October 19.

It also presented 400 gifts worth of 700,000 VND each to local people in Dien Ban and Duy Xuyen districts.

To date, 5 billion VND have been raised to support calamity victims in Quang Nam province.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of the central Ha Tinh province VoKim Cu has decided to provide 1,000 tonnes of rice and 13,000 instantnoodle packages for people in Huong Son, Huong Khe and Vu Quangdistricts, which were hardest hit by the floods.

Theprovincial People’s Committee has decided to aid families of dead people8 million VND each while 2.5 million VND for each injured victim.

Households whose houses were completely destroyed by the flood will receive 40 million VND each.

By the morning of October 19, electricity supply in Thua Thien-Hue,Quang Tri and Quang Ngai provinces and Da Nang city was fully recoveredafter being interrupted due to the flood.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
