Hanoi (VNA) –💧 The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union launched a digital communication campaign titled “I love my country” on August 8, harnessing the power of social media to promote patriotism among citizens as the country prepares to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

Running from August 4 to September 2, the campaign calls upon Vietnamese citizens both at home and abroad to join a series of online challenges themed #TuHaoVietNam (proudofVietnam). Participants can engage by producing short videos or sharing selfies with the national flag. For video submissions, they are encouraged to create short-form content ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, posting their creations on personal TikToK accounts with the campaign’s hashtags of #ToiyeuToquocToi #TuhaoVietNam #ProudVietnam #TYTQT. The campaigns unfolds across four phases, each designed to spark creativity and national pride. The first stage themed “Colours of the Flags I Love” runs from August 4 to 10, encouraging creative videos featuring the national flag. The second stage “Flexing Vietnamese Spirit” from August 11 to 17 is to share meaningful stories and contributions to the community, reflecting volunteerism and patriotism. Meanwhile, the third stage “Vietnam in me is…” from August 18 to 24 encourages participants to introduce the beauty of their homeland through footage of scenic landscapes, cultural heritage sites, historic landmarks, unique traditions, cuisine, or symbols of national progress and innovation. In the final leg “Proud of Vietnam” from August 25 to September 2, participants are given considerable freedom to express their love and pride for the homeland in preparation for the August Revolution and National Day celebrations.
