Dien Bien Phu victory to be re-enacted through circus art

The Vietnam Circus Federation will host a circus show re-enacting the Dien Bien Phu battlefield in Hanoi on May 5 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the victory.

Hanoi (VNA) –
The Vietnam Circus Federation will host a circus show re-enactingthe Dien Bien Phu battlefield in Hanoi on May 5 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the victory.

Thehour-long programme is a combination between circus and other art forms such asmusic and dancing.

Artistswill perform the scenes of soldiers and people crossing mountains and foreststo bring cannons and food to the battlefield.

Therewill be an exchange with historical witnesses and present giving to warveterans who made significant contributions to the country’s resistance waragainst France.

The Dien BienPhu Campaign lasted for 56 days from March 13 to May 7, 1954 under the commandof General Vo Nguyen Giap. It saw Vietnam defeat the French colonialists to putan end to their rule in Indochina in 1954.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
