Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Circus Federation will host a circus show re-enactingthe Dien Bien Phu battlefield in Hanoi on May 5 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the victory.
Thehour-long programme is a combination between circus and other art forms such asmusic and dancing.
Artistswill perform the scenes of soldiers and people crossing mountains and foreststo bring cannons and food to the battlefield.
Therewill be an exchange with historical witnesses and present giving to warveterans who made significant contributions to the country’s resistance waragainst France.

The People’s Committee of the northern mountainous province of Dien Bien has approve a project to upgrade a number of relic sites on the former battlefield of the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign as the 65th anniversary of the victory nears (May 7, 1954-2019).
A symposium will be held on April 25 in Dien Bien Phu city, capital of the northwestern province of Dien Bien under the theme of “Dien Bien Phu – Historical and Practical Values”, announced the Ministry of Defence at a recent press conference.
