DFC signs 200-million-USD loan for SeABank

The US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) officially signed a loan agreement worth 200 million USD.

Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The US InternationalDevelopment Finance Corporation (DFC) and the Southeast Asia Commercial JointStock Bank (SeABank) officially signed a loan agreement worth 200 million USD.

This project is expected to have a development impact by providingloans to SMEs, with a section dedicated to women-owned SMEs, projects relatedto energy saving and retail customers, including individual businesshouseholds.

SeABank is the only financial institution in Vietnam to receivefunding from DFC.

With the support from DFC, it will help SeABank improve itsfinancial capacity to better implement the proposed projects, focus on thecredit gap and solve the gap between the financial needs of the market andthe existing source of money in the economy.

In addition, the bank is committed to complying with internationalstandards and continuously improving its policies on management and environmentto help address climate issues./.
