Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue receives Chinese Ambassador
Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue received Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo in Hanoi on January 15, ahead of the 70th founding anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties (January 18).

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Vuong DinhHue received Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo in Hanoi on January 15,ahead of the 70th founding anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties(January 18).
The Chinese diplomat conveyed his Party andState leaders’ New Year greetings to their Vietnamese counterparts, voicing hisdelight to see that bilateral relations have been growing well and cooperationhas attained many positive outcomes.
He noted the two sides have made thoroughpreparations for the celebration of the bilateral diplomatic relations’ 70thanniversary, adding that he believes the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategiccooperative partnership will continue developing in the time ahead.
According to Deputy PM Hue, over the last 70years, the Parties, States and peoples of the two nations have given enormousand precious support to each other, which has contributed to the success of thenational liberation and socialism building in each country.
He said in recent years, leaders of the twoParties and States have maintained contact and meetings through which they havereached many important common perceptions in the enhancement of the traditionalneighbourliness, political trust, economic partnerships, and settlement ofoutstanding issues. Relations between Vietnamese and Chinese localities havealso been thriving, thus contributing to their countries’ overall relations.
On the basis of achievement obtained over thelast seven decades, the Deputy PM asked both sides to press on withimplementing the agreements and common perceptions reached by their leaders,and promote positive, healthy and stable cooperation in all fields for the sakeof the two peoples./.
Developing the Vietnam-China traditional relationship in a more fruitful, stable and healthier manner is the common responsibility of both sides and also an inevitable and objective requirement in accordance with the basic interests and aspirations of the two countries’ people, said a senior Party official.
The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association (VCFA) on January 14 co-hosted a reception on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties (January 18).
The establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and China on January 18, 1950 was an important historical milestone, opening up a new period in the traditional relations between the two nations.
State President Luong Cuong’s trip once again reaffirmed the Party and State’s foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralisation of relations. It also reflected the strong trend of enhanced cooperation among countries of the Global South in shaping a new, more multipolar, fair and equitable world order.
The outcomes of Party General Secretary To Lam's visit will serve as a driving force and source of inspiration for the two countries to inherit, promote, and elevate their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, contributing to the national construction and development cause in each country, and to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 9 inspected the construction site of the new Phong Chau bridge, and surveyed a planned route for the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway section running through the northern province of Phu Tho.

Vietnam pledges to do its utmost to build an ASEAN of solidarity, consensus, and unity in diversity, and to foster a fast and sustainable development path for ASEAN, grounded in science, technology, and innovation, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Party General Secretary To Lam called on the criminal police force to accelerate the application of science, technology, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation in criminal investigation tasks such as crime prevention, detection, tracking and verification, ensuring that no area remains out of their reach.
