Nanning (VNA) – Vietnam’s Party, State and people attach importance to promoting and developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive relationship with China, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in particular, said Deputy Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung.
During a meeting with Secretary of the Party Committee of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Peng Qinghua in Nanning on May 24, the Vietnamese official appreciated cooperation results throughout many fields between Guangxi and Vietnam’s border provinces, especially in implementing legal documents related to border management.
He suggested strengthening links between Guangxi and Vietnamese border localities in this work in the coming time.
Deputy Minister Trung also stressed the need to promote cross-border economic connections, education cooperation and cultural exchanges among border localities of the two countries, towards building a peaceful and stable borderline between the nations.
𓃲 He took the occasion to thank Guangxi province’s leaders and people for their recent efforts to foster multifaceted cooperation with Vietnamese border localities.
For his part, Peng Qinghua stated that Guangxi will work with the most responsible spirit to strictly implement the high-ranking agreements reached between the two countries, contributing to stepping up the China-Vietnam friendship and comprehensive cooperation.
He said economic relations between Guangxi and Vietnam have recorded increasingly strong development in recent times, with the trade value between the region and Vietnam accounting for one-third of the total two-way trade between Vietnam and China. People-to-people exchanges between the two sides have also been enhanced.
𓆏 On the occasion, Peng Qinghua asked the Vietnamese side to support the building of an annual meeting mechanism between Guangxi’s key leaders and those from Vietnam’s border localities, and back the Chinese locality in holding a China-ASEAN Fair in 2016.-VNA
