“Denmark in Your Eyes” painting competition opens for entry

The painting competition “Denmark in Your Eyes” was launched in Hanoi on September 14 as part of activities to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Vietnam-Denmark diplomatic relations (1971).

Hanoi (VNA) – The paintingcompetition “Denmark in Your Eyes” was launched in Hanoi on September 14 aspart of activities to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the Vietnam-Denmarkdiplomatic relations (1971).

Themed “Green Dreams” this year, thecompetition is inviting entries from elementary students across the country whowant to share stories about environmental protection with colourful and creativeexpression.

Danish Deputy Ambassador Louise Holmsgaardsaid she looks forward to seeing the environmental issues presented through theeyes of children, with the works drawn from the children’s hearts raisingpublic awareness of global environmental issues.

Entries must be sent to the Vietnam-DenmarkFriendship Association (VIDAFA)’s office on the 7th floor of 105A Quan ThanhStreet, Ba Dinh, Hanoi no later than October 5, 2018.

The award ceremony will take place at theend of the year.

The annual “Denmark in Your Eyes Competition”was first held by the Embassy of Denmark and VIDAFA in 2016 to mark the 45thanniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.

Lastyear, the contest attracted the participation of 800 school children withprizes awarded to 63 entries. Do Khanh Linh, a third grader at Le Van Tam PrimarySchool in Thanh Hoa, won the top prize and was awarded a Canon camera and Legoset.–VNA
