Acontract regarding the translation and publication of the book, whichwas a best-seller in Vietnam in recent years, was signed in Moscowon Aug. 24.

The “Thang Long-Moscow Garment” Club will sponsorthe whole process of translation, marketing and printing of the diarywhile the Orient Research Institute of the Russian Academy ofSciences will manage the procedural papers.

The two sides agreed that this project is not for profit, but will be sent as gifts and presents.

Tramwas a civilian doctor who worked as a battlefield surgeon during theVietnam war. She died at the age of 26 in Duc Pho, the centralprovince of Quang Ngai .

Tram’s diary, which chronicled thelast two years of her life, has been first published in Vietnam in2005. It has been translated into 20 foreign languages thus far.

A film about doctor Tram by Vietnamese director Dang Nhat Minh entitled, Dung Dot “Don’t burn”, was released in 2009./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
