Dak Nong to host Vietnam Coffee Day in December

The second Vietnam Coffee Day will be held in Gia Nghia town, the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong, from December 9-12.

Dak Nong (VNA) – The second Vietnam Coffee Day will be held in GiaNghia town, the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong, from December 9-12.

The information was announced by the provincial People’s Committee at a pressconference on November 28.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry andTrade, the Dak Nong provincial People’s Committee and the Vietnam Coffee andCocoa Association are organisers of the programme.

According to Truong Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee, this year’s event will feature a wide range of activities includinga ceremony to celebrate the Vietnam Coffee Day, a contest for good coffeeproducers, a scientific workshop on processing industry development to increaseadded value for the Central Highlands’ key products.

The organizing board will organise an international seminar on sustainablecoffee development in Vietnam.

During the programme, visitors will enjoy free coffee at 40 stalls introducingproducts of coffee producers and processors nationwide.

The Vietnam Coffee Day aims to honour outstanding coffee growers and producers.This is also an occasion for organisations, individuals and business in DakNong province and the country in general to promote their trademarks andproducts as well as introduce the image of Vietnamese coffee to the world.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
