Da Nang to host international tourism festival in October

Da Nang (VNA) – The second Da Nang International Travel Festival, one of the largest networking events in Vietnam’s tourism industry, will take place from October 16 – 17 at the central coastal city’s Ariyana Convention Centre.
The festival is jointly organised by the Da Nang Tourism Association and HorecFex Vietnam, which specialises in hospitality, restaurants, and catering services. Around 2,000 delegates are anticipated, including representatives from more than 200 domestic travel businesses and 120 international companies from key markets such as Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Japan, China, India, and Russia.
A highlight of the event will be the B2B networking session “Buyers Meet Sellers”, held throughout the two days to connect travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, and service providers. This activity is expected to broaden partnership networks, generate new cooperation agreements, and attract more international visitors to Vietnam.
Nguyen Duc Quynh, Founder and President of HorecFex Vietnam, said the festival aims to become a prestigious annual event in the region, helping enhance the reputation and global profile of Vietnam’s tourism industry.
The event will also feature workshops and forums on destination marketing, focusing on brand promotion, sustainable development, and effective use of the cultural and heritage values of central Vietnam.
Additionally, the Da Nang Tourism Association will host seminars and thematic discussions to support enterprises in improving service quality, competitiveness, and business efficiency. /.
The “tourism passports” are available at Da Nang International Airport and tourist support centres in both Da Nang and Hoi An, forming part of the New Da Nang, New Experience campaign for 2025.
Under the theme “New Da Nang – New Experience,” the programme focuses on diversifying tourism products, enhancing visitor experiences, and applying digital transformation across the service chain, featuring five special programmes and two notable digital solutions.
The programme offering 50,000 free Hi Vietnam eSIMs for global visitors to Da Nang is organised by Sun Group and MobiFone, aimed at attracting international tourists to the Han River city during the third quarter – the end of summer period.
Renowned for its unspoiled beauty — from pristine white-sand beaches to a refreshing climate and dozens of picturesque islets — much of the island’s potential had remained untapped.
Since 2011, the title “Vietnam Tourism Ambassador” has been conferred on several distinguished figures, each of whom has played a part in carrying the country’s image onto the global stage.
The operation of the cultural train, Metro Line 2A, and bus routes not only eases traffic congestion but also opens new opportunities to explore Hanoi in a modern, eco-friendly way.

As part of the programme, around 250 international guests enjoyed destination and culinary experiences across the city from September 4 to 8, creating memorable impressions of the southern hub.
