Hanoi (VNA) – The 20th Vietnam FilmFestival will take place in the central coastal city of Da Nang from November 24-28with the participation of nearly 850 delegates.

The information was revealed by Deputy Ministerof Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien at a press conference in Hanoi onAugust 15.

The event aims to honour Vietnam’s best moviesand create a platform for artists and film producers to share experience in thefield. It is part ofthe activities to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of the Association ofSoutheast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The festivalaffirms the crucial role of the cinema industry in promoting culture, traditionalfriendship and cooperation among the ASEAN member nations via the Film ASEANAwards initiated by Vietnam.

🤡 Diverse activities will be held during event,including film screenings, seminars featuring the development of Vietnam andASEAN film industry, an exhibition on Vietnamese cinema, and art exchanges.

The firstVietnam Film Festival was held in Hanoi in 1970 with a view to developing thenational cinema.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
