Da Nang ready for 25th Vietnam International Mathematics Competition
The 25th Vietnam International Mathematics Competition – VIMC 2025 will take place from August 14-19 in the central coastal city of Da Nang, with the participation of 526 contestants from 31 countries and territories.

Da Nang (VNA) – The 25th Vietnam International Mathematics Competition – VIMC 2025 is taking place from August 14-19 in the central coastal city of Da Nang.
The International Mathematics Competition (IMC) is an annual event held on a rotational basis among member countries for excellent mathematics students from more than 40 countries and territories worldwide. This is the first time Da Nang has hosted the competition.
With a slogan of connecting minds, spreading friendship, and conquering mathematics, the VIMC 2025 will feature 526 contestants from Vietnam and 30 other countries and territories, along with 181 teachers and 100 international guests. The competition targets students in grades 5 to 8 of the 2024-2025 school year. Contestants compete through two rounds – individual and team competitions, with debating and reasoning formats to earn maximum points.
Within the framework of the competition, there will be seminars on teaching methods, examinations, and curriculum innovation for teachers, and workshops on technology and artificial intelligence for lecturers and students. There will also be cultural exchange activities between international students and teachers, and Da Nang’s secondary students, as well as sightseeing and experiential programmes.
