Da Nang inaugurates Information Technology Park

Da Nang (VNA) – Da Nang IT Park Development Joint Stock Companyinaugurated the first phase of the Da Nang Information Technology Park (DanangIT Park-DITP) in Hoa Vang district on March 29.

At the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam said that asinformation technology is playing an increasing role in socio-economicdevelopment, IT centres like the DITP will help attract high-quality humanresources inside and outside the country.

“The Government always creates favourable conditions for Da Nang city toenhance investment in the IT sector”, he stressed, expressing his hope thatmore capital will flow into the city’s IT projects.

The park, which covers 341 hectares in Hoa Vang district with total investmentof more than 120 million USD, aims to become the central Vietnam’s “SiliconValley”. The first phase, built at a cost of 47 million USD, has completedinfrastructure, office and working space for rent on 131ha, ready to serveinvestors.
The second phase of the project, spanning 210hectares and costing 74 million USD, will be implemented in 2019.

According to Chairman of DaNang IT Park Development JSC Nguyen Tam Thinh, the park expects to createrevenue of 1.5 billion USD and generate 25,000 jobs each year. Besides, it willencourage the training of advanced technologies at local universities.-VNA

🐲 Vietnam launches six 4.0 technology training and talent networks

The networks bring together universities, research institutes and domestic and foreign businesses. Members will work closely in training, research, and technology transfer by sharing curricula, improving faculty capacity, providing access to laboratories and research facilities, and jointly implementing science and technology projects.

Vietnam is actively yet cautiously preparing for the construction of its first nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan (now the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa). The resumption of the programme after years of suspension carries considerable significance for the nation’s development in a new era as it strives to gradually reduce and ultimately phase out coal-fired power to realise the Government’s commitment to Net Zero by 2050.
