Da Nang (VNA) – The 20th Vietnam Film Festival will take placein the central coastal city of Da Nang from November 24-28, heard a conferenceon October 19.
The event is to honour Vietnam’s best movies and introduce Vietnam’s new cinemaproducts to audiences while creating a platform for artists and film producers anddistributors to share experience in the field.
It is part of theactivities to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of the Association ofSoutheast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The festival affirms the role played by the cinema industry in promoting imagesand culture of the country, traditional friendship and cooperation among theASEAN member nations via the Film ASEAN Awards initiated by Vietnam.
Various activities will be held during the event, including seminars featuringthe development of the Vietnam and ASEAN film industry, film screening week, anexhibition on the Vietnamese cinema, and art exchanges.-VNA
“Cau vong khong sac” (Rainbow without colour) will be screened during the Vietnam Film Festival, which is taking place in Melbourne, Australia, from September 29 to October 6.
Vietnamese movie “I see yellow flowers on the green grass” by director Victor Vu will be screened in Japan on August 19 with a view to bringing Vietnamese culture closer to Japanese people, heard a press conference in Tokyo on July 31.
