Da Nang authorities give Chinese sailor timely rescue
The Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre Zone 2 in the central city of Da Nang has brought a sick crewmember of a foreign vessel to the mainland for treatment.
Da Nang (VNA) – The Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre Zone 2 inthe central city of Da Nang in coordination with the city’s 115 emergency aidcentre on December 2 brought a sick crewmember of a foreign vessel to themainland for treatment after giving him first aid at sea.
The Chinesesailor, Wang Ziaogang, was aboard the Univorn Bravo ship travelling from Thailandto Hong Kong (China) when he suffered serious abdominal pain and neededcritical emergency aid.
Receivingthe ship’s request, the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre Zone 2asked the ship to return to Da Nang, while sending rescue vessel SAR 412 anddoctors to the site.
The sailorhas been sent to a local hospital for treatment.-VNA
