Pharmaceuticals distributors from the Republic of Czech are targeting the Vietnamese market, according to Prague radio on January 11.

Prague (VNA) – Pharmaceuticals distributors from the Republic of Czech aretargeting the Vietnamese market, according to Prague radio on January 11.

Lekarnici95 pharmaceuticals company, which owns a network of pharmacies in Karlovy Varyand Plzen provinces, plans to expand operations to Southeast Asia, includingVietnam.

Director ofLekarnici 95’s regional pharmacy network Petr Koudelka said the firm beganstudying Vietnamese pharmacies and hospitals’ demand for pharmaceuticals. Itplans to import products from other countries besides its existing stocks tosell in Vietnam.

LastNovember, the Vietnamese embassy partnered with the Czech ManagementAssociation to hold a seminar on trade and investment in Vietnam.

Two-waytrade currently accounts for nearly 1 billion USD but bilateral investmentremains limited due to a lack of information about Vietnam’s business climate.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
