Hanoi (VNA) – The customs sector will synchronouslyimplement solutions to achieve the target of paperless customs in 2022,according to a directive recently issued by the General Department of Customs.
Directive No. 384/CT-TCHQ on enhancingadministrative reform and simplifying customs procedures, dated February 8, isintended to build a digital, smart customs sector.
Accordingly, all customs procedures nationwide willbe conducted on digital platforms.
The sector will also step up connectivity anddigital transformation through the national single window system.
At the same time, efforts will be made to acceleratethe implementation of the action plan to promote the ASEAN single window mechanism, which is linked with the sector’s information-technology system.
The sector will build digital customs platforms based on big dataand bring into full play new technologies ofthe fourth Industrial Revolution, striving to take the lead in the Government's digitaltransformation plan./.
The time for customs clearance for exports, including the time for obtaining, preparing and submitting documents and and inspections, averaged 38.4 hours in Vietnam last year, a drop of 57.38 hours compared to 2019, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC).
