Cuba’s defence minister hails visit to Vietnam

The recent visit of a high-ranking delegation from the Cuban Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR) to Vietnam has made contributions to consolidating cooperation between the two countries’ defence ministries.

Havana (VNA) – The recent visit of a high-ranking delegation from theCuban Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR) to Vietnam has madecontributions to consolidating cooperation between the two countries’ defenceministries.

MINFAR Minister Leopoldo Cintra Frias made the statement during a meeting withAmbassador Nguyen Trung Thanh at the Vietnamese Embassy in Havana, Cuba, onApril 13.

He said that MINFA will continue to provide training for Vietnamese militarymedical and political trainees in the coming time while speaking highly ofrobust socio-economic achievements Vietnam has gained during national andbuilding and safeguarding.

For his part, Ambassador Thanh briefed Minister Cintra Frias on recentsocio-economic development in Vietnam and progress in cooperation between thetwo nations.

He expressed his belief in the two countries’ further development, bringingpractical benefits to both sides.
