Crowds flock to exhibition of national achievements

Six themed display zones offer the public a vivid look at the nation’s arduous yet glorious historical journey of development over the past eight decades.

Hanoi (VNA) - The exhibition of national achievements themed “80-Year Journey of Independence – Freedom – Happiness”, which opened at the National Exposition Centre in Hanoi on August 28 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, has drawn tens of thousands of visitors in an atmosphere of celebration and unity.

The Kim Quy (Golden Turtle) building, the centerpiece of the exhibition, was fully open to the public free of charge. Crowds surged steadily throughout the day, particularly at the pavilions of the Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Public Security, where state-of-the-art equipment attracted long lines and became popular photo spots. At peak hours, the parking lots were filled to capacity, reflecting the event’s remarkable draw.

🀅 A series of events are scheduled within the exhibition framework, including a forum on artificial intelligence and the role of data in the digital era, alongside a special cultural performance organised by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on August 29, and evening art programmes on August 30 and 31. All performances are free of charge./.

Taking place over 19 days, the exhibition was a highlight of celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. It not only reviewed milestones of the past eight decades but also inspired patriotism, national pride, and aspirations for sustainable growth and integration.
