Hanoi (VNA) – 𝔍The Government, parents and teachers are together responsible for protecting and educating children, helping them realise their hopes and aspirations, President Tran Dai Quang said on the anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation (May 15).
Speaking at a meeting marking the children’s organisation’s 75th founding anniversary in Hanoi on May 14, the President emphasised that expanding the networks of educational, medical, cultural and sport facilities is a priority, adding that more attention should be given to disadvantaged children such as those with disabilities or who reside in mountainous areas or on islands.
Law and regulations on children’s rights and interests must be disseminated widely in the community, while related violations should be promptly prevented and strictly punished, he noted.
The President said the Party and State have great expectations of the young generations.
The Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation has grown from the initial five members to more than 12 million members over the past 75 years.-VNA
