CPV delegation pays working visit to China

Beijing (VNA) – A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Politburo member, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Chairman of its Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, is paying a working visit to China from November 11-15 at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

In Beijing, Trac met with Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection; held talks with Chen Wenqing, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPC Central Committee's Secretariat, and Secretary of the CPC Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission; and had working sessions with leaders of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission of China.

At the events, Trac congratulated China on the achievements that the country has carved out over the past 75 years, stressing the Vietnamese Party, State and people always valued the precious support from their Chinese courterparts throughout historical periods.

Based on its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralisation of external relations, Vietnam has given a top priority to strengthening its comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China, promoting the building of the Vietnam - China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance in accordance with the “16-word” motto, “four-good” spirit, and “six major goals” so as to bring substantive benefits to the two countries' people and contribute to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

Li, for his part, congratulated Vietnam on the socio-economic achievements it has obtained over the recent past, affirming that under the leadership of the CPV, led by General Secretary To Lam, Vietnam will successfully concretise the resolution adopted at the 13th National Party Congress as well as successfully organise the 14th one.

The Chinese officials affirmed that China always considers the relationship with Vietnam a priority in its neighbourhood diplomacy and stands ready to work with the Vietnamese Party and State to promote the building of the Vietnam – China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, making it develop to a new high and in a more practical and effective fashion.

Both sides stressed the importance of bilateral visits of the top leaders of the two Parties and States, most recently the trip to China by Party General Secretary To Lam, noting with pleasure breakthrough growth in economic, trade and investment cooperation, and vibrant tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

Affirming the party-to-party relations serve as a crucial foundation that outlines strategic orientations for the overall bilateral relations, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions about future directions to advance the Vietnam-China relations, contributing to the effective implementation of common perceptions reached by the two Party General Secretaries.

They were unanimous to improve political trust through regular high-level exchanges and contacts and enhanced cooperation via the Party channel as well as promote more effective, substantive, balanced and sustainable cooperation across all fields to better serve both peoples' interests. They have reached consensus on strengthening coordination in regional and international issues, and well organising the Year of Vietnam - China Humanistic Exchange 2025.

On the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the diplomatic relations, they plan to work closely with each other to maintain peace and stability at sea while better controlling and resolving disagreements in accordance with high-level common perceptions and international law.

They also shared experience in Party building, prevention of corruption and wastefulness, and judicial reform.

Trac and the Vietnamese delegation had a working session with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China and Xiong'an New Area.

They will pay a working trip to Fujian province in the coming days./.
