Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc recentlydecided to establish the State Council to review the feasibility report for thefirst stage of the Long Thanh international airport construction project.
The Minister of Planning and Investment will chair thecouncil, while a deputy minister of planning and investment will be vice chair.The council’s members will include leaders of concerned ministries and agencies.
Their rights and responsibilities are stipulated in the Government’sDecree No.131/2015/ND-CP dated December 25, 2015 guiding the country’simportant projects and other regulations.
The council is allowed to hire domestic and foreign consultantsto ensure independence and objectiveness.
The Ministry of Transport was asked to work with the Commission forthe Management of State Capital at Enterprises to direct investors towardsswiftly completing the feasibility report and arrange capital to review thereport. –VNA
