Theking will be officially crowned on May 4 and a celebration procession will beheld on May 5.
Theking will meet the public and foreign diplomats on May 6.
CrownPrince Maha Vajiralongkorn became King Rama X in December 2016, after hisfarther King Bhumibol Adulyadej – Rama IX – passed away in October the sameyear, at 88.
Thecoronation has been delayed until a year-long period of mourning for KingBhumibol Adulyadej.
KingRama X is Thailand’s head of state, with power to sign legal documents fortheir promulgation and witness officials swearing in. He is also the nominalleader of the army, court and government.-VNA
