Contest launched in Russia to help students learn about President Ho Chi Minh
A contest on President Ho Chi Minh entitled “Uncle Ho in My Heart” has recently been launched by the Vietnamese Youth Union in Saint Petersburg, as part of the activities to mark the late leader’s 131st birthday (May 19).

Hanoi (VNA) - A contest on President Ho Chi Minh entitled “Uncle Ho inMy Heart” has recently been launched by the Vietnamese Youth Union in SaintPetersburg, as part of the activities to mark the late leader’s 131st birthday (May19).
It offers an opportunity for students to learn about the life and times ofPresident Ho and express their love and respect for him, while encouraging themto study and follow his teachings, the Nhan dan newspaper reported.
According to the organising board, the contest is opening to not only youthunion members, students, graduate students and children of the Vietnamesecommunity living and studying throughout the Russian Federation, but alsoRussian students at schools in Saint Petersburg.
The contest is accepting entries until May 18, and is not limiting the numberof entries from each participant or group of participants.
It consists of three contents: scientific research on President Ho Chi Minh’slife, thought, and career; literature (poetry, literature, story-telling) aboutUncle Ho; art: painting, dancing, singing and honouring the late leader./.
President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man on February 17 offered incense in tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh at House No. 67 in the Presidential Palace’s area on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet).
