Hanoi (VNA) – The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committeewill cast a vote of confidence on members of its Politburo and Secretariat atits ninth session slated for this December.
The announcement was made by deputy chief of the PartyCentral Committee Office Le Quang Vinh at a press conference on the outcomes ofthe Party Central Committee’s eighth session in Hanoi on October 6.
Vinh said that the work is organised regularly in the thirdyear of a tenure, and after the confidence vote is conducted on positionselected or approved by the National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils.
At the press conference, Minister of Natural Resources andEnvironment Tran Hong Ha answered reporters’ queries related to the resolutionon the strategy on sustainable development of the marine economy to 2030, witha vision to 2045.
According to him, the goal of sustainable development is toharmonise economic development with ensuring social welfare and protecting the environment.
The resolution has new ideas, setting targets for five yearsto effectively ensure sea-based economic development and protect the maritimeenvironment.
Agreeing on the necessity of issuing regulations on theresponsibility for setting example of Party members and officials, especiallymembers of the Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat and theParty Central Committee, Ha stressed the need to build criteria suitable foreach specific title and position.-VNA
