The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh cabled hissympathy to the 43rd US President George W. Bush, son of former PresidentGeorge H.W. Bush.
On December 4, Permanent Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son signed thecondolence book in commemoration of the US’s 41st President at theUS Embassy in Hanoi.
