Cocaine transported to Vietnam via express services seized

The Hanoi Customs Department said on November 23 that its officers and other forces brought to light a case of using express delivery service to bring cocaine into Vietnam from Canada.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Customs Department said on November 23 that itsofficers and other forces brought to light a case of using express deliveryservice to bring cocaine into Vietnam from Canada.

On November 22, three parcels of goods at the northern international postcentre in Hanoi to be delivered to Hai Phong city were suspected to containdrugs.

When the goods were received by Nguyen Thi Bich Hanh in Le Chan district, HaiPhong city and her company at the Hai Phong Post Office the same day, they weredetained by anti-drug officers and policemen of Hai Phong and Hanoi.

Anti-drugofficers found 25.56 grams of white crystals wrapped as chocolate balls inthese parcels, which, as Hanh confessed, are cocaine.

Competentforces are investing further into the case.-VNA
