Lt. Gen. Nguyen TrongNghia confirmed that defence cooperation is a pillar of thecomprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam andChina.

On behalf of the General Department ofPolitics, the officer asked for continued cooperation between the Xi’anPolitics Institute and the VPA’s functional agencies in trainingofficials, sharing information and experience in political work andteaching methods in the subjects of social sciences and humanities.

Major General Xie Baoguo expressed his hopes that the two armieswould increase exchanges of high-ranking delegations, especially ofyoung military officers.

He added that the Xi’an Politics Institute would give more training quota to Vietnamese military officers in the next years.-VNA
