HCM City (VNA) – A Chinese naval fleet arrived in Ho Chi Minh City’s InternationalPort on May 6, starting a four-day friendship visit to Vietnam.
The fleetincludes missile destroyer Changchun and missile frigate Jingzhou with an over-500-membercrew led by Rear Admiral Shen Hao.
The visitaimed to strengthen ties between the two armies in general and the two navalforces in particular, thus contributing to boosting the Vietnam-China comprehensivestrategic cooperative partnership.
During theirstay in Ho Chi Minh City, the Chinese officers are scheduled to pay a courtesyvisit to leaders of the municipal People’s Committee, and visit the Military Region7 High Command, Naval Region 2 and Naval Brigade 171.-VNA
The Indian warships INS Satpura and INS Kirch, with 80 officers and 580 sailors onboard, docked at Cam Ranh International Port, in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on May 30.
The missile cruiser Varyag of the Russian navy’s Pacific Fleet, along with tanker Pechenga and rescue tug Fotiy Krylov, on April 27 began a visit of Cam Ranh Port and Nha Trang city of Khanh Hoa province.
