Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam KongXuanyou handed over the donation to President of the Vietnam Red CrossTran Ngoc Tang in Hanoi on Nov. 4.

Ambassador Kong said thatthe Chinese Party and people deeply sympathise with the Vietnamesepeople in localities in Vietnam which are experiencing majorflooding.

He expressed his belief that with efforts by theVietnamese Party and Government and assistance from internationalfriends, the Vietnamese people will rapidly overcome the aftermath ofthe disaster.

Tang asked the Chinese Ambassador to convey sincerethanks from the Vietnamese people to the Red Cross Society of China andthe Chinese people for their help.

He said that numerousactivities have been carried out in the Mekong Delta provinces to helpaffected people and many nations and international organisations havealso provided assistance to Vietnamese flood victims./.
