Hanoi (VNA) - A charity running competitionentitled ‘Run Against Cancer’, aiming to support cancer patients will be heldon February 4 at Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi.  

Aiming to raise awareness of cancer, the race will take placefrom 8am to 11am with different categories, including running backwards2km, 2km (one loop of the park), 6km (three loops) and 10km (five loops).

Donations go towards the ‘Lunar New Year Sharing with CancerChildren’ programme at the National Institute of Hematology and BloodTransfusion and the Hanoi National Cancer Hospital K3.

Fee for all distances is 300,000 VND, entitling the runner toa finisher medal and a voucher for a cancer check, with men entitled to alung cancer screening and women to a breast cancer screening, providedby Antamed, a health care service centre.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
