Centre for visa applications to Europe launched in Da Nang

Da Nang (VNA) – The Embassy of Belgium in Vietnam held a ceremony to open acentre for receiving visa applications to European countries, includingBelgium, Germany and Italy, in the central city of Da Nang on March 22.

Thecentre is located at the ACB Building in Phuoc Ninh ward of the city’s Hai Chaudistrict, and scheduled to begin official operation on March 25.

Arepresentative of the Belgian Embassy said the number of Schengen visaapplications in Vietnam has risen significantly over the years, attributable tothe country’s rapid economic growth as well as increasing demand for businesstrips and travelling.

Thecentre is expected to facilitate visa applications to Belgium, Germany andItaly by people in Da Nang and surrounding areas. It will provide informationon visa procedures and other services such as application status announcementvia text message, translation and delivery.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
