Quang Ninh (VNA) – A huꦇge stage performance will be the highlight of the kaleidoscopic Carnivꦇal Ha Long 2016, making it no longer just a dynamic street parade like previous years, said Chairman of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee Vu Hong Son at a press conference held on April 15.

Stellar music performance and dazzling lights will be at the heart of the 90-minute stage show, which is scheduled to take place at 20:00 on April 30, at the October 30 Square in Ha Long city, he said, adding that the festival will also feature a high decibel firework display.
Some 1,600 artists will take part in the event. First organised in 2007, the annual festival has delivered different and fresh experiences to visitors each year. It has become a unique tourism trademark of the locality.
At the press conference, the provincial authorities also informed that nearly 40 cultural, sport and tourism events will be held during the Ha Long-Quang Ninh tourism week 2016, including a pageant contest, photo exhibition, summer music festival, beach volleyball tournament and the inauguration of a food street and a walking street, among others.
