Seaportsin the central provinces of Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Ha Tinh and Binh Thuanrecorded the highest hikes in the volume of freight.
InJune alone, seaports nationwide dealt with over 51.46 million tonnes of cargo,a rise of 15 percent against the same period last year, with container cargoexceeding 1.5 million TEUs, down 4 percent year-on-year.
Vietnam currently has 44 seaports with totaldesign capacity of 470-500 million tonnes of cargo a year. –VNA
