Cao Dai Church holds most important yearly ritual

Tens of thousands of the Cao Dai Church followers and dignitaries on February 7 gathered in the southwestern province of Tay Ninh to join an annual grand ritual dedicated to the Duc Chi Ton (Supreme Being) who they believe to be the ancestor of the world.

Attending the event were also representatives of the Government’sCommittee for Religious Affairs and leaders of Tay Ninh province.

Speaking at the event, Monsignor Thuong Tam Thanh, head of theExecutive Council of the Cao Dai Tay Ninh Church called onfollowers to lead a pure life and exert efforts to share difficultieswith other people in society.

The same day, 26booths were also organised to showcase photos on activities and ancientstories of the church, helping visitors understand the religion moreclearly.

Founded in 1926 in Tay Ninh province, theCao Dai religion worships the Divine Eye, known as the eye of heaven anda symbol of its supreme being. Cao Dai’s doctrine honours the Divineand the miraculous quality of supreme spirits, and considers them as themeans for human beings to unify with the God. It is now the thirdlargest religion in Vietnam with over 46,000 followers nationwide.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
