Cao Bang (VNA) – Adelegation of the Vietnam General Federation of Labour on May 25 visitedand presented 1,000 buoyant backpacks and gifts to students and a local socialprotection centre in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang. The delegation, led by Nguyen ThiThu Hong, deputy president of the federation, gave 179 buoyant backpacks andfinancial aid worth 10 million VND to students of Doai Con primary school inTrung Khanh district. The remaining backpacks will bedelivered to local students in remote areas by the provincial labourfederation. The buoyant backpacks are hopedto protect students in rainy season and avoid drowning.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
