On October 25, the company inaugurated a new friendship kindergarten in Kim Boidistrict, the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh.

This was thelatest education centre opened as part of the “Canon friendship schoolchain” project, which has been carried out in many localities across thecountry during 2013.

On the occasion, Canon also presented14 sets of tables and chairs for pupils, one for the teacher and onebookcase and many books to the school.

Earlier thismonth in the northern province of Tuyen Quang, Canon also funded threenew classrooms for the Ban Hiep primary school in Chiem Hoa district. Italso gave 5 bookcases, 60 sets of tables and chairs and many learningaids to the school.

On October 12-13, about 50employees from three Canon factories helped install bookcases and thenew furniture in the school. They also helped clean the school andorganised a photography exhibition.

With itsefforts, Canon has said it hopes to support Vietnam’s educationaldevelopment, in turn helping the country’s industrialisation andsocio-economic development.-VNA
