Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen will lead a high-level delegation to Vietnam on September 26 to pay tribute to President Tran Dai Quang who passed away on September 21.

Phnom Penh (VNA) – Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen willlead a high-level delegation to Vietnam on September 26 to pay tribute to PresidentTran Dai Quang who passed away on September 21.
According to the Cambodian Foreign Ministry’s press releasedated September 25, the Prime Minister will be accompanied by Deputy PrimeMinister and Minister of Interior Affairs Samdech Sar Kheng, Deputy PrimeMinister and Minister of National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection MenSam An, and a number of senior officials from the Royal Government of Cambodia.
Previously on September 21, the Cambodian PM sent a letterof condolence to his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, expressing greatsadness on the passing of President Tran Dai Quang as “a huge loss of a leaderwho was devoted to promoting the well-being of the people of Vietnam and the relationsof fraternal friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. National Assembly ChairmanSamdech Heng Samrin also extended his condolence to Vietnamese NationalAssembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. On September 24, King Norodom Sihamonicabled his message of sympathy to General Secretary of the Communist Party ofVietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.
On September 26, President of the Cambodian Senate Say Chhumand National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin will also pay tribute to theVietnamese leader at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in Phnom Penh.
President Tran Dai Quang passed away at 10:05am on September21 in Hanoi at the age of 62 due to serious illness.
The respect-paying ceremony will start at 7am on September26 at the National Funeral Hall on 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street, Hanoi.
The memorial service will be held at 7:30am on September 27at the National Funeral Hall. The burial ceremony will take place from 3:30pm onthe same day in the President’s hometown in Quang Thien commune, Kim Sondistrict, Ninh Binh province. –VNA
