Long An (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia Men Sam An extended her New Year greetingsto authorities and people of Long An during a visit to the Mekong Delta provinceon January 21.

The Cambodian DeputyPM wished the Vietnamese province new achievements in the Year of the Rat and askedthe province to continue to promote solidarity, friendship and cooperation withCambodia’s localities.

She underlined thatthe Cambodian people will always bear in mind the support and sacrifice ofVietnamese voluntary soldiers, including those from Long An province.

She took the occasionto thank Long An’s administration and people for their assistance in education,health care and technology transfer in agriculture for two Cambodian provincesof Svay Rieng and Prey Veng.

In reply, Secretary ofthe provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council Pham VanRanh wished for stronger cooperation between the province and the two Cambodianlocalities in the coming years, notably in trade and border services development.He also expressed the hope to accelerate the delimitation and border markplanting in the remaining section of the border line between Long An and thetwo Cambodian provinces.  

He asked the Cambodianside to pay due attention to the building of a road to Binh Hiep nationalborder gate in a bid to create optimal conditions for bilateral trade, as wellas continue their support for the search for and repatriation of remains ofVietnamese soldiers who laid down their lives in Cambodia./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
