The authorities of the southernmost province of Ca Mau have urged its health sector to improve the quality of healthcare.

Ca Mau (VNA) – Theauthorities of the southernmost province of Ca Mau have urged its health sectorto improve the quality of healthcare.

Suggested measures include developinga modern health system allowing all people to access basic health services.

The province will encourage thedevelopment of non-state health services, expand healthcare at home andincrease health insurance coverage.

In 2017, Cau Mau aims to havedoctors at all commune-level health centres, reduce the rate of ill-nourishedchildren to 11.8 percent and raise the rate of health insurance coverage toover 80 percent.

In 2016, the province madeefforts to develop healthcare infrastructure and provided health checks. Allgrassroots health centres now meet national sta🍸ndards.-VNA

According to the World Health Organisation, more than 25,000 COVID-19 cases have been recorded globally over the past month.
