HCM City (VNA) – A dialogue was held in Ho Chi Minh City on March 6 tohelp enterprises using foreign employees deal with difficulties and obstacles.

The event attracted the participation ofrepresentatives from nearly 200 domestic and foreign businesses who discussedissues related to licensing; entry and exist and temporary residenceprocedures; personal income tax calculation; and payment of social and health insurancefor foreign workers.

They also paid attention to solutions tocope with situations when terminating contracts with foreign workers related tosocial, health and unemployment insurance issues; and management and revocationof documents related to work permits when workers do not give back.

Representatives of the municipal TaxationDepartment, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Department of Public Security’simmigration unit answered participants’ queries, helping them address problems in their production and business.

They committed to being willing to receive questionsand ideas for specific instructions and explanations to assist enterprises inimplementing administrative procedures.

Statistics show that Ho Chi Minh City hasnearly 30,000 foreigners licensed to work at the city’s agencies, organisationsand businesses. They have been contributing to the supply of human resourceswith expertise, management experience, and professional working skills inaccordance with international standards./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
