Hanoi (VNA) – The two books entitled “BambooArchitecture” and “Green Architecture” by the VTN Architects company (VoTrong Nghia Architects) have been published in the US by OREO Editions.

“Bamboo Architecture” introduces projects implemented by VTN Architects, which mainly focus on green designs and those using bamboo – a cultural symbol ofVietnam.  Many projects have won prestigiousarchitecture awards in the world such as ARCASIA Awards, FuturArc GreenLeadership Awards, Green Good Design Awards, and International ArchitectureAwards (IAA).

Meanwhile, “Green Architecture” highlights environmentally friendly and greenprojects, which also won many international prestigious awards, includingARCASIA Awards, Green Good Design Awards, IAA, DFA Awards and WA Awards.

Based in Ho Chi Minh City, VTN Architects infuses itswork with lushly planted walls, hanging vines, structure-piercing trees, weathered stones, and sunken landscapes.

It also incorporates traditional Vietnamese building techniques, like complex bamboo trusses, perforated blocks, cooling water systems, shadedterraces, and thatched roofs.

All these efforts are infused with a resolute vision to create greenarchitecture that merges nature, local vernacular, and — through modernmaterials and methods — contemporary design. VTN Architects sees such work as away not only to refine the urban environment but also to provide a sense ofpeace in the world./.

𓆉 Indian writer captivated by Vietnam’s Cham culture

Taking a journey to the Cham Museum — the modest building in Phan Rang –Thap Cham, Indian writer Ankita Mahabir said that the museum might not boast size but it brims with pride for the local community, featuring carefully preserved sandstone sculptures, portraits, and rare artifacts.

For years, the Vietnamese community in many countries rarely had the chance to experience Vietnam’s traditional arts and culture actitivies organized by the Vietnam government, except the annual event “Vietnam Day Abroad” that has been organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2010. But the year 2024 marked a turning point.

In the context of international integration and globalisation, culture and art education plays a vital role in promoting the all-round development of Vietnam's young generation.
