A set of books on Vietnam-Laos special relations has been introduced to the public by the Information and Communications Publishing House.

Hanoi (VNA) – A set of books on Vietnam-Laos special relations has beenintroduced to the public by the Information and Communications PublishingHouse.

The set contains 11 books whichgive readers an insight into Laos as well as its people, socio-economicsituation and culture.

The books also analyse therelationship between Vietnam and Laos in the past, at present, as well asfuture prospects.

The set of books is expected torealise the guideline and foreign policy of the Vietnamese Party and State infurther consolidating and developing the special solidarity and comprehensivecooperation between Vietnam and Laos as recommended by late President Ho ChiMinh.

The books were compiled in 2017when the two countries celebrated 40 years since they signed a Treaty of Amityand Cooperation (July 18), and the 55th anniversary of diplomaticties (September 5).

The Vietnam-Laos relations werefounded by late Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh and his Lao counterpartKaysone Phomvihane and have been nurtured by generations of leaders and peopleof the two countries over the past more than seven decades, becoming a valuabletreasure of the two nations.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
