Books on Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore introduced

A series of books on Singapore and its founding father Lee Kuan Yew were introduced in Ho Chi Minh City on August 17 to mark the 51st anniversary of Singapore (August 8).

HCM City (VNA) – A series of books on Singapore and its founding father Lee Kuan Yew were introduced in Ho Chi Minh City on August 17 to mark the 51th anniversary of Singapore.

Published by the Youth Publishing House, the collection comprises three renowned books including: Lee Kuan Yew on Governance, Management, Life (author Janice Tay); My Singapore ( by Lee Wei Ling – daughter of Lee Kuan Yew); and Conversations with Lee Kuan Yew (author Tom Plate, eighth edition).

The books recapture the life of the country’s late Prime Minister and Singapore’s establishment and development over the past five decades.

Singapore is known for its extraordinary successes in many areas, including urban planning development, its education and training system and tourism, despite being small in size and poor in natural resources, thanks to the e🐷minent leadership of late Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, said Dr Nguyen Minh Hoa, deputy chairman of HCM City Association for Urban Planning andꦡ Development at the book introduction event.-VNA
