Moscow (VNA)ಌ – A book fair was held inMoscow on April 21 in response to the Vietnam Book and Reading Cultural Day, creating a chance for the Vietnamese community in Russia to meet, exchange books,and promote the reading culture.
Themed “Tram Ky uc” (memory station), the event wasjointly organised by “Vong tay Viet-Nga” (Vietnam- Russia embrace) associationand the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Russia, aiming at inspiring solidarity and patriotism among members of the overseas Vietnamese community. A fund-raising event was also held to build schools formountainous students at home.

The Vietnam Book andReading Culture Day was first held in 2022 following a decision by the Prime Minister.
𒉰 The day is expected to encourage and develop the reading movement among thecommunity, contributing to building a learning society. In addition, it aims tohonour readers, authors, publishers, printers, and libraries that strive to preserve, collect, and promote books./.
Not only buying copyrights, and translating many famous foreign works to serve the diverse demand of domestic readers, recently, a number of publishers in Ho Chi Minh City have sought to bring Vietnamese books to the world.
The Vietnamese pavilion at the 32nd Havana International Book Fair has displayed about 100 books and publications about President Ho Chi Minh, the revolutionary cause and renewal process Vietnam as well as its country and people.
