Moscow (VNA)ಌ – A book fair was held inMoscow on April 21 in response to the Vietnam Book and Reading Cultural Day, creating a chance for the Vietnamese community in Russia to meet, exchange books,and promote the reading culture.

Themed “Tram Ky uc” (memory station), the event wasjointly organised by “Vong tay Viet-Nga” (Vietnam- Russia embrace) associationand the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Russia, aiming at inspiring solidarity and patriotism among members of the overseas Vietnamese community. A fund-raising event was also held to build schools formountainous students at home.

The Vietnam Book andReading Culture Day was first held in 2022 following a decision by the Prime Minister.

𒉰 The day is expected to encourage and develop the reading movement among thecommunity, contributing to building a learning society. In addition, it aims tohonour readers, authors, publishers, printers, and libraries that strive to preserve, collect, and promote books./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
