Its download and upload speedswere 1,506Mbps and 78.7Mbps, respectively.
Bitel General Director Phan Hoang Viet Anh said the telecoms firm aims to increaseits market share from 16.3 percent at present to 18 percent by 2020, and willpour more investments to introduce cutting-edge technologies in Peru.
During the five years of operation the country, Bitel has enjoyed the fastestgrowth as compared to other telecoms firms in the country, with a network ofoptical fibre stretching 35,000 km, 5,300 3G base transceiver stations and3,400 4G base transceiver stations.
In the first nine months of 2019, Bitel’s pre-tax profit exceeded the settarget and increased 254 percent year-on-year.
ꦆ In May, Bitel won a 27 million USD contract toprovide information and technology infrastructure for 1,837 schools in Peru.
Accordingly, Bitel would help the schoolsimprove their services for the education and training sector in Peru. Theproject includes four packages and would be implemented in 25 cities andprovinces in the country. This is the largest project which Bitel has wonso far. The Bitel-proposed project was evaluated as better than current plansused in the country./.
