The southern province of Binh Phuoc will present 10,000 smart phones to poor students in mid-October to assist them in online learning, said Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Education and Training Ho Hai Thach on October 8.

Binh Phuoc (VNA) – The southern province ofBinh Phuoc will present 10,000 smart phones to poor students in mid-October toassist them in online learning, said Deputy Director of the provincialDepartment of Education and Training Ho Hai Thach on October 8.

Thach said the department will also ask educationalestablishments to offer lessons via television, send photocopied materials tostudents, and call on organisations and individuals to support the effort.

At present, about 14,000 local students still lack equipmentfor online learning.

ཧ Statistics from theprovincial Department of Information and Communications showed that so far, oneschool in Bu Dang district has lacked Internet connection and 22 others failedto receive Internet signals./.
